24 Weeks

I'm 6 months today! Here's a current pic!

I took my gestational diabetes test today. It was 3 hours - 4 different blood drawings. Let's hope everything comes back okay. We should have results tomorrow. Thank you to Cherolyn for sitting there with me for the entire 3 hours! You're a lifesaver!

Gestational Diabetes Test

Well, I failed my first gestational diabetes test. Unfortunately, that means I have to go back in for another test tomorrow, this one being a fasting, 4 hour test. They will have me drink glucose when I arrive, and then take my blood once per hour for 4 hours. Please say a prayer that everything comes out fine with this test. I should have results in the next few days.

Howdy Pardner Plaque

Cherolyn and Troy got us a precious plaque for Carson's room. Here's a picture - I just love it!

Registries

In case you want to check out some of the items we registered for, here are links to both registries:

http://www.toysrus.com/ControllerServlet?lastName=Kosina&firstName=Jaymie&state=TX&target=search&userType=giftGiver&searchForPerson=primReg&whereTo=viewRegistry&x=61&y=12

We found that Target didn't carry many of our big items, so we registered for a lot of basics there. Babies R Us is the larger of the two, allowing us to register for our stroller, car seats, basinett, and more.

It's all so exciting - we just can't wait to meet Carson!

The New Carpet

Well, the new carpet looks great! We are really pleased! I'll post some before and after photos.

We registered last night at both Babies R Us and Target. Fun stuff!

23 Weeks, 2 Days Pic

Chad just returned from his road trip. He thought I had grown even more since he left. I haven't - I measure every day. No change. We took a new pic to post anyway.

I have my gestational diabetes test and a check-up tomorrow. Mom is going with me, so I'm really excited.

The new carpet and garage door opener are both getting installed tomorrow. It's a big day for the Kosina household!

Daddy and Carson

Chad finally felt Carson kicking and squirming around last night before we went to sleep. Chad's not one for patience, so he's had a rough time leaving his hand on my belly long enough. Finally, Carson kicked him almost immediately when he put his hand on me last night. He was really excited and then proceeded to tell me how much like him the baby was going to look. Ha! I'm glad he's really feeling like a part of it now. It's all so exciting! I just can't wait to meet our little angel!

22 Weeks, 6 Days

I had to take my 23 Week picture tonight because Chad will be out of town tomorrow. Here's a look at my growing belly. By the way, wish he would have gotten my shoes - they are red stilletos. :)

A Look At The Entire Room...

Completed Sayings So Far...

Stenciling/Painting Process

The Bathroom Cabinet

The Chair Rail Process

Carson's Room Progress

Carson's room is coming along nicely, thanks in big part to Cherolyn and Troy! We wouldn't know what to do without them!

Troy and Chad got the chair rail up and it looks fabulous! Shortly after that, Cherolyn and I got to work on stenciling the words on the wall. Cherolyn got them all stenciled while I started painting.

Once we finished "yee-haw!" we got the bright idea of dotting all of the i's and exclamation points with stars. So, I went back and re-stenciled those this evening. I was able to complete "giddy-up!", "yee-haw!", and "howdy!" It looks so cute! I am just thrilled with how it is turning out so far.

I also put together a new cabinet that will go in Carson's bathroom while Cherolyn hung his new towel rack. All of us have worked so hard - we really owe Cher and Troy BIG TIME.

Wyatt had a good time crawling around while we worked. The next post is some pics of our progress. I'll update more this week as I complete the sayings.

The new carpet goes in Friday! We can't wait!

22 Weeks

I'm 22 weeks and feeling great! I am still wearing my stilettos and not swelling at all. My waist is 38 inches around - holy cow - can you believe it?! Chad and I have the same waist size - ha! I am definitely gaining weight now. I actually stood on the scale when I got up and then again one hour later and I had gained a pound. What in the world? I have gained a total of 5.6 pounds. Dr. Putterman will be happy when we go in next Friday, I'm sure. Here's a current pic of me.

Wyatt Smiling

Here's a pic of Wyatt while Cher, Troy, and Chad were painting. We had a good ol' time!

Carson's Bedroom Paint Job

Carson's room is coming along nicely. Chad and I decided to install a chair rail, so Chad got a laser level to help him determine how low to paint the light brown paint and how high to paint the chocolate paint. Here are some before and after photos.

A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to Cherolyn and Troy! Cherolyn taped off the ceiling, bathroom, and painted several parts of the room. Troy measured the chair rail, cut the chair rail to size, painted it, painted the doors and frames, and more. The three of them worked so hard!

While they were painting, taping, measuring, and more I was watching Wyatt. We had a great time. We had lots of laughs with the dogs and enjoyed ourselves. We also made dinner and Alana came over to join us.

Thank you so much Cherolyn, Troy, and Chad for your hard work - it looks great so far! Cher and Troy are coming back over this weekend to help us finish up. We will hang the chair rail and finish the trim work. It's going to look great! Our little boy is already spoiled rotten - his room is going to be the nicest one in the house!

Carson's Bathroom NOW!!!

Carson's Bathroom Before

Carson's Bathroom

I got home and found two big boxes on the front door step...one was the bedding and one was the bathroom stuff! I was so excited I couldn't wait to set it up! Here are before and after pics of his bathroom. Excuse the pink and white knobs, we actually have some western knobs on order that should arrive tomorrow or the next day. They will make it complete. But, here's a glimpse at Carson's new bathroom - he is one stylin' dude!

Jeff's Wedding

Chad and I just got back from a friends' wedding. It was really nice. We actually had a complete stranger tell us "Congratulations!". It was neat - we both smiled really big and said, "Thanks!" I guess there's no wondering whether or not I'm pregnant now - my belly is definitely out there. Carson is so busy - he is constantly moving around.

We got up really early and took a bunch of stuff to Goodwill this morning. They were glad to see us! My entire car was loaded down!

Tomorrow we're planning to buy Carson's furniture. We can't wait! We hope to get the new carpet in sometime in mid August. I've been buying things online for his western room. His bathroom decor should arrive next week. I'll be sure to take some before and after photos.

Take care!

20 Week Photo

Here's a picture of me at just about 20 Weeks. (19 weeks, 6 Days) There's definitely no denying that I'm pregnant now! Carson is busy a movin' and a groovin' all the time. I feel great!

I am nesting - I cleaned out his closet and washed all of the clothes and blankets we've gotten so far. I'm so ready for the holiday so that I can get the other room all cleaned out and move the furniture around. We'll be getting rid of the king sized bed and moving the new queen one from the nursery into the guest room. Chad and I are getting excited - we're halfway there to meeting our precious little boy!
