Carson's Christening

The Christening was perfect! Carson did so well. He didn't cry at all during the entire service, and he was just fine with the minister presenting him to the congregation. Chad and I could not have been more proud.

For those of you that know me, it's like I have been "programmed" to be a Mom. I was so excited! I was "armed" with goodie bags, personalized M&M's, food, drinks, a gorgeous cake, etc. I enjoy making everything so personal for our friends and family.

We were so blessed to have so many join us. Kim, Jeremy, and the kids came down from Georgetown. Kelly, Brad, and Olivia came down from Fort Worth. My Aunt Claudia and Uncle Donald (my Godparents) came down from San Antonio. Many came from near and far to see our special little guy get baptized.

The ceremony was beautiful, he did so very well. We are so honored to have Cherolyn and Troy be his Godparents.

Carson actually didn't take a nap until around 2 o'clock today! I have never seen him do that!

My Dad took a lot of great pictures. Here are a few....enjoy! For those who couldn't make it - we missed you!

Playtime

Mommy and I had a great time this evening. I am really enjoying sitting up, army crawling to toys, and going for stroller rides. Mommy takes me strolling around after we get home and I just love it. Here are a few pictures of me, enjoy!

Who...me?!

This toy is awesome!

This is Mommy's new favorite picture of me. That's cute right there...I don't care who you are! (in the words of Larry the Cable Guy - ha!)

And A Few More Pictures....

Carson can sit up on his own now. It's rare that he falls over. Of course, there's him wanting to grab his feet and he'll topple forward, or there's him wanting a toy and he'll topple sideways. But, he's started catching himself now. He's doing very well.

Carson just LOVES to grab your thumbs and pull himself into a sitting position, then all the way to standing. He's really strong. He's got great stomach and leg muscles already. It makes bathtime easier because I don't have to hold him up anymore, and I can stand him up to wash his behind and legs.

Here are a few pictures and a video of him hangin' with Mom tonight.

Are you going to feed me, or are you just going to look at me and take pictures?

I'll bet this green ring would be really good if I "gummed" it!

Ooooh - it IS good!
Yep, it's good...oh geez, more pictures?!

Thank goodness it's bathtime...I'm getting tired and a little cranky....

Here's a video of Carson sitting up on his own playing with a toy, then showing off his new "trick"....he's a strong little boy!

A Few Carson Pictures...

My Mom and Dad have been helping out with Carson quite a bit as Chad has been out of town, I've had client meetings, and we needed to get started with preparations for the baptism. Chad and I spent several hours cleaning on Saturday. I made all of the baptism favors as well. I think they turned out really cute. I cannot wait to see the cake. Chad and I will pick it up Saturday afternoon. Peter, the guy who made our wedding cakes, is making the baptism cake. I know it will be gorgeous and delicious! He is a great baker. I highly recommend him if you ever need a cake or any catering for an event. His website is www.weddingcakeshouston.com Please tell him I referred you.

Dad has taken quite a few new pictures of Carson. We've all been trying to figure out what color his eyes are. They change with whatever color he's wearing. They are almost aquamarine, so very unique. They also have gold in them like my eyes. Here are a few pictures of Carson playing on the floor and his eyes close-up. Enjoy!

So serious for such a little boy! :)

Carson's School Pictures

We just got Carson's school pictures back. They turned out so cute! I was really impressed when I saw them. I actually teared up because my little boy isn't so little anymore. His teachers told me he's a little ham. RRRRREEALLY? MY son? Ha! He sat there like a big boy and smiled for the camera. Here are both poses - enjoy!

Teething Woes

Carson is getting really close to cutting his bottom two teeth. REALLY close. He ran a temp of 101 last night, has a runny nose, and is not his usual happy-go-lucky self. We took him to see Dr. Wolens today, and we found out that, in essence, his teething has caused double ear infections and a sinus infection. Ug. So, we're back on antibiotics again. This time we only have to take it for 10 days. Dr. Wolens seems to think those teeth will break through in a week or two. We can't wait! Poor little guy is constantly chewing on his fingers, bib, burp rag, whatever he can get in his mouth.

Although he's not feeling great, he still has such a sweet little personality. He's smiling and laughing all the time now, and he loves to take pictures. He's a little ham. Here is a pic of Carson and Daddy playing in the backyard last night. We love dressing him in little Polo shirts and jeans - it's just too cute!
