I'm Getting So Big!

I'm really getting big. Mommy took some pictures of me while Daddy was out of town and we were having a good time together.

I also got a big boo-boo at school while Daddy was gone. Mommy took a picture of it. It hurt, but the bruise is almost gone now.

Here are some pictures of me - look how grown up I look! Hard to believe I am 10 and a half months old already! Here's my boo-boo...I fell at school AGAIN. But, Mommy got it all straightened out with the school director.

Look how tall I am!

I love this alphabet puzzle!

I especially love putting the pieces in my mouth!

I'm on the move down the hall!

This isn't how you change the channel!!!

More Carson Pictures

Here are a few pictures of Carson enjoying more new foods - he had his first spaghetti and many more fruits this weekend. He's also gotten VERY fast at crawling. We can't take our eye off of him, or he's halfway up the stairs!

We had a busy weekend - running errands, moving some of my furniture to my sister's new house, etc. Carson was so good the entire time. He really never fussed or threw any fits. He's fast asleep now. He had to be tired with all of the running around we did today. We are so blessed to have such a sweet boy.

We're getting excited (and shocked it's almost here) about Carson's 1st birthday party! We're doing a cowboy theme, and have already gotten lots of the decorations in. We have some ideas as to what we want to get him, but we're not positive yet, especially since Christmas is only a month after his birthday.

What a fun holiday season we have in store for us - we can't wait!

Love to all!

Mmmm...spaghetti!

Check out his curls - he has hair like Mommy when she was his age!

He's on the move!

Carson posing with a piece of puzzle in his mouth - the letter L for "look" at me!

I'm up to no good! Heh heh!

What? Bedtime? Who's bedtime???

I love reading Dr. Seuss books!

He's on the move again!

This morning at breakfast - a smorgasbord of fruit...kiwi, blueberries, bananas, watermelon, and honeydew melon

Finger lickin' good!

In the car headed to Aunt Katie's with the furniture...there's plenty to watch outside...

I'm a good car rider...I like watching the cars go by and talking to Mommy and Daddy in my mirror. I can't wait to turn around though!

Hurricane Ike

Well, Hurricane Ike proved himself to be a real bastard. We were so glad we decided to head to Fort Worth. We were out of power and water for a few days and that would have been difficult with Carson. We enjoyed spending time with Kelly, Olivia, and Brad. Carson and Olivia had a great time goo-gooing and ga-gaing at each other. It was too cute.

My parents and sister ended up riding out the storm at our house. I was glad because their neighborhood sustained a lot of damage. Our house, on the other hand, had minimal damage. We had some palm trees down, some hibiscus uprooted, and some leaks. The backyard has a fancy "wind blown" look, but all in all, we really fared well during the storm.

We have several friends (and my sister) that are still without power. Ick. We hope they get everything back up and running soon.

Here are a few pictures from our trip. Enjoy! We're glad everyone is safe...love to all!

What? Bedtime? Heck no!

Hee hee...I TOLD you it wasn't bedtime!

I decided to go through some decorating magazines with Aunt Kelly....

These pages make the best noises!

Playing peek-a-boo with Olivia...

Carson's on the move while Olivia is bouncing away...

Hey! I know you!

Olivia, you're so funny! I just love chatting with you...

Aren't we precious?!

I busted my lip on the fireplace...Mommy wanted a picture of it...it hurt bad, but Mommy got me some ice really quickly and I felt better fast. I'm a tough guy - I only cried for about 2 minutes.

Olivia, Carson, and Uncle Brad hanging out after breakfast....

Story time with Daddy...Carson LOVES to read!

Carson Eating Videos

Here are a few short videos of Carson eating banana and hamburger...he cracks me up!

The Jumping Duo

The Johnson's came for a visit this past weekend. The boys really enjoyed playing together. At one point, they had a "jump off". Carson in the Excersaucer (which he is pretty much too big for now), and Wyatt on the little galloping pony. It was hilarious! When one would stop they would look at each other and start back up again. Check it out!

Doctor Stats and Update

We had a great visit at the doctor last week. Carson is a BIG boy. We weren't surprised to hear that. Here are his stats:

Weight - 23lbs, 12oz - 88%
Height - 30 inches - 92%

He's healthy and doing great in his new classroom so far. He's got four teeth now. We've been experimenting with new foods this week. He's had grilled chicken, corn, green beans, hamburger meat, kiwi fruit, and strawberries. He loved it all. He cracks me up. He can't stop saying "mmmm mmmmmm mmmmm" while he's eating. Too cute.

Carson is really getting good at pulling up and cruising around furniture. He scares me with our hard woods - I am constantly following him around.

Here are a few new pictures of Carson, my Godson Wyatt, and Carson's Godmother (my best friend) Cherolyn. Enjoy!

What did you say Aunt Cherolyn?

Check out this green monkey!

All smiles!

What's going on out there?

Hmmm....a different view......

Hello? Is anyone out there?

Caught in the act - check out my grubby knee from crawling - ew!

Mmmmm.....bananas!

Carson's first experience with hamburger meat and green beans....

Look Daddy! I'm a big boy!

This stuff is GOOD!

A little playtime before bedtime.....

New Carson Pictures

For those of you that are always looking for new Carson pictures, (Mary Gayle) here are a few of our big boy. We bought him some new Stride Rite shoes to help him learn to walk properly. He's been turning his right foot out a lot, so these should help him quite a bit. We also bought him a ton of clothes at the outlet mall in Round Rock. Bad Mommy and Daddy!

We head to see Dr. Wolens tomorrow for his 9 month check up. He had an ear infection the last time he was supposed to get his shots, so tomorrow's the big day barring some unforeseen problem. Let's hope all is well with his ears. I can't wait to see how much he weighs and how long he is. I also can't wait to see where he is developmental-wise.

Carson loves to sit back and listen to Mommy and Daddy read. Every night after his bath, he gets to choose a few books to read. He LOVES it and always chooses different ones. He cracks up every time we close the book and say "The End". It's so cute!

I'll post more after our doctor's visit. Stay tuned!

Heh heh - I am up to no good! See that cord behind me? I am always going near it because I know I'm not supposed to touch it. Just before this picture I almost had it in my hand and Mommy said, "Uuuuhhh uhhhhh no sir!" So, I turned and quickly smiled with my hand in my mouth so she would know I wasn't doing anything wrong.

Who couldn't love this face?!

Look how big I am getting!

Yep, that's right...I'm cute!

Me and Mommy in the front yard tonight - it was my first real experience with grass. I didn't know what to think about it. Kinda prickly.

Here is me and Mommy at Jaden's birthday party. We love to take pictures together!
