Carson And His Colors

Carson's getting really good with his colors. I attribute most of it to watching So Your Baby Can Read and Preschool Prep. Both video systems are excellent. He can also recognize the colors spelled out. It's pretty impressive if I do say so myself. :)

Hanging Out With Momma

What do you do on New Year's Eve when you are pregnant and have a 2 year old? Well...we spent the day playing outside (brr!), napping, watching Cars, playing with puzzles and toys, and making brownies. My big boy is a good helper. Here are some pics from our day today. Enjoy!
Hee hee! I love this Jeep.....

And I love pushing my tricycle....

Mixing up the brownies, under supervision of course....(check out my hat hair!)

This is fun! You can really see my hat hair here....

I am one cool dude....

19 Weeks Picture

You can always tell when Chad takes the pictures. I am 19 weeks today. This week I have finally stopped feeling nauseous. I have more energy and feel good other than a stopped up nose. I have gained about 3 pounds now, and all is well. I can feel Cade moving around more each day. He's an active little guy. Love to all!

Jeep & Roller Coaster Ride

They had SO much fun riding in the Jeep. It was so cold - we had to bundle them up big time! Plus, they both had sinus infections recently and we didn't want them relapsing.

Kelly and Brad got Olivia a roller coaster for Christmas. Carson LOVED it! I have a feeling we'll get one soon for our house. They enjoyed riding together and playing all day. Carson learned to say, "Olivia" so we heard it over and over again and he keeps asking me, "MaMa - where's Olivia?" It's so cute!

Cade's Nursery - Progress Already Being Made

We decided on a dinosaur theme for Cade's room. We aren't wasting anytime at all getting the nursery movin'. I bought the bedding on Christmas Eve, some dinosaur pewter knobs on Christmas Day, dinosaur bathroom decor the day after Christmas, and we shopped for everything (down to diaper wipes) for his nursery yesterday. He is pretty much set. Now to wait for everything to come in so I can set it all up! I love getting organized and ready - major nesting over here!

I used Chad's projector this evening and put three dinosaurs on the walls - a T-Rex, a Stegosaurus, and a Pteradon. I think they turned out really cute. I am waiting to get the bedding. Then, I'll match the colors in the bedding to colors at Sherwin Williams and get them painted. I think it will look really great once it's all finished. Here are the starting dinos traced on the wall.

Stegosaurus - every time I try to download what I actually projected it turns it, so this will have to work for now....

The Pteradon projection.....

The T-Rex projected on the wall...excuse the bed - we're still in the process of getting everything cleaned out of the room. The bed will be off to Aunt Kim's in a few weeks to make room for the nursery furniture.......

The traced T-Rex....
I can't wait to get it all finished and set up. I'll keep taking pictures as we go.
Love to all!

Name Revealed

We decided on Cade Allen. It was a toss up between that and another name, but I was leaning heavily towards Cade. Here's why....I went up to Texas Children's Hospital for Radiothon and met the most amazing young man going through chemo treatment. He had the best outlook, positive attitude, and was very talented. He wrote his own music and songs, and sang a song live on the air about cancer being the hardest fight he's ever fought, but he was going to make it because God was on his side. He was such a wonderful young man, he truly touched my heart. I emailed Chad right then and there and said I wanted to toss the name Cade into the hat because of it. After thinking it over for a few hours today, we decided to go with it. Cade will have Daddy's middle name of Allen. Two boys. How wonderful! I'm surrounded by three boys, actually! :) I love all of them dearly!

It's Another Boy!!!

I knew it! Always trust Mom! I kept telling Chad, but he said, "Naaah. It has to be a girl." Nope! Dr. Putterman confirmed it this morning. We have another healthy boy on our hands. He's doing great; everything looks good so far and his heart rate was perfect. He was sleeping when we did the ultrasound, so Dr. Putterman had to bump my belly with the ultrasound machine a few times to get him to wake up and show us. Yep, it's a boy!

We also found out that I was right about my due date too. He actually had it wrong - the baby is now measuring on time for May 26, 2010. So, I'm actually 18 weeks and not 17. I knew that as well - I knew when we conceived after all. :)

Here's to another perfect boy like Carson! Now to decide on a name.....

Christmas 2009

Carson has been obsessed with Santa this year. I asked him if he wanted to go see Santa and take a picture with him, and he said yes. So, we went to Bass Pro Shops today and stood in line for over 30 minutes. He was really excited about Santa the entire way to the front of the line. Even when he saw him, he was excited. Then, it was his turn to take a picture. All of the sudden he lost it and burst into tears! I might be a mean Mommy, but I think the picture is hilarious!
Merry Christmas!!! XOXO - The Kosina Family

Ear Infection

Carson's got a bad ear infection and is on serious antibiotics which seem to already be affecting his little tummy. Poor guy. Of course, you'd never know from the looks of these pictures.

Jeep Video

The Jeep even has a radio! Technology at its finest!

Carson's New Jeep

We got Carson a motorized Jeep for Christmas. He found it in the garage, so we couldn't make him wait until Christmas to ride it. He loves it! He's a pro - rides up and down the street, over curbs, and more!

Cheese! I love this Jeep!

Come on Mom - I'm on the move!

Yep, this is an offroad vehicle...

Into the culdesac I go!

Tee hee -I love this thing!

Dallas Trip - It Snowed!

The Management Team went to Dallas to spread holiday cheer to all of our clients. We had a great time, and while we were at breakfast this morning it started to snow! Here are a few pictures from the trip.

Mark (my boss), Judy, Mike, me, and Jim - we snapped this photo just after it stopped snowing...nuts.

The snow on a grassy hill on the way to see Kristin at Moroch...
This one came out great - you can see the snow falling and the snow on the cars in the background
The first thing we saw when we came out of the restaurant after breakfast - SNOW!
Maybe we'll get some here in Houston!
