Still 1CM

Chad is out of town today and tomorrow, so my Mom came with me to the doctor. Nothing had changed - I am still 1cm. Dr. Putterman said everything looks good and Carson's heartbeat sounds great. He told us today that he would set the induction date at my appointment on November 12th if I hadn't had him by then. I was actually relieved to see that nothing had changed being that Chad is out of town. He returns tomorrow evening and I can't wait. He can't get here soon enough.

That's this week's update. I go back again next Monday - let's hope for at least a little change by then. Wish us luck!

The Annual Johnson Halloween Bash

Chad and I went to Cher and Troy's annual Halloween bash last night. I was me - a pregnant lady. Chad was a whoopie cushion. Here's a picture of me, Cherolyn (white trash) and Alana (70's roller chick). We had a blast!

36 Week Picture

It's hard to believe I am 9 months pregnant! Here is my 36 week picture. I'm still wearing my heels and feeling good. My energy is starting to dwindle just a little bit though. I went ahead and changed my work hours to 7:15-4:15 so I don't have to sit in traffic as long. It's much nicer and easier on me. I get home at a decent hour and I can get things done around here before dark.

We have 1 CM!

Well, we just returned from our first weekly appointment at Dr. Putterman's office. They did the strep test and he did the first exam to see if I am dilated. We were shocked to hear that I am - I am 1 centimeter! Woo-hoo! He said everything is progressing nicely, Carson's heartbeat sounds good, and I look good. I had gained 1 pound since he saw me last, putting me at a total weight gain of 20 pounds. My blood pressure was normal.

Dr. Putterman goes on vacation November 21st, so he said he would induce the week of the 12th if I had not had him by then. He said the only reason he wouldn't do that would be if I was not progressing or showing any signs of early labor. He said he thinks we should be fine, especially since I am 1 centimeter dilated at this point.

We went over to Methodist and pre-registered, so we're all ready to go. We now know where to park and where to go when I am actually in labor. We're set! Now I just need to pack my bags.

Kenzie and Teddy's Haircuts

Kenzie and Teddy got new haircuts. The groomer even put little Halloween scarves on them - they are too precious! Here are some pictures of them:

Carson's Room Is Finally Finished!

Other than a few things still in boxes or needing to be installed in the car, Carson's room is complete! I am finally able to wash in cold water - the plumber came out earlier this week - and I am literally washing the last load of his clothes right now. I then need to wash a few more blankets and then we're all set!

Here are some pictures of his room. We are really proud of the way it turned out. The bedding is absolutely precious and finishes the room off nicely. We're all ready for Carson now! He just needs to wait about 4 weeks before blessing us with his arrival - we want him to stay in there so he can be as big and healthy as possible!

Emily's Precious Baby Boy

35 Week Picture

I had Cherolyn take my 35 week picture yesterday. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have her take my pics from now on because it's much nicer than the ones that Chad takes - ha! I am still feeling good, wearing heels, and enjoying feeling my son move around in my belly. I have gained about 19 pounds now and I am LOVING Halloween candy! I should have never bought it - I keep going to my stash and getting Laffy Taffy or Sweet Tarts chewies. Of course, I'll eat these things and then he moves all around because of the sugar.

We start our weekly appointments next Monday the 22nd. I'll have another update then.

Returns

We returned all of our duplicates and items we don't need today to Target and Babies R Us. We left both stores with full carts - we got everything we needed and then some! We still have credits at both places - yay! We are so excited! We're planning to put everything together tomorrow, I can't wait!

34 Weeks

I can hardly believe I am 8 and a half months pregnant! Chad took my picture outside tonight for a change of scenery. Here I am at 34 weeks. I still feel good and I'm still wearing my heels. My belly is definitely getting bigger!

Baby Shower

We had our "Kosina" shower today. It was a lot of fun! Carson is one spoiled little boy. He got all sorts of things. We were excited to get our monitor and our high chair, two of the last large items we needed. We are just so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family that are so giving and loving. I just can't wait for Carson's arrival!

Here are some pictures from the shower. The hostesses made Chad a "Daddy Caddy". Too cute - it has pacifiers, nose clips, bottles, plastic gloves, etc in it.

Pregnancy Update

We had a great visit with Dr. Putterman on Friday. My blood pressure was 116/60, I had gained a few pounds since we had seen Dr. Putterman last (total weight gain of 17 pounds now), Carson is still in position, and his heartbeat sounded strong. We have our last two week appointment on October 22nd. After that, we go to weekly appointments. Everything looks good and I feel great. I can't complain about anything - we are so blessed to have a child on the way and just cannot wait to meet him!

October 3rd Baby Shower

Carol and Judy threw me a beautiful shower at the office last evening. I had a wonderful time! They did a great job - the food was delicious, the decorations were great, and the company was fabulous! Many people showed up including some of my clients, old co-workers, current co-workers, my parents, and of course Daddy!

33 Week Pic

I am 33 weeks pregnant - hard to believe I only have 49 days to go! And actually, it will be less than that because Dr. Putterman will induce if I haven't had him the week of November 12th. He'll be here before we know it. I'm still feeling good. I have gained about 16 pounds now and I am still wearing my heels. I might be pregnant, but I gotta do my best to look good!
