Update on Teddy

Teddy is doing great! He is adapting well and giving his sister a run for her money, as usual. Here are a few pictures of him.

Carson And Family

Here are a couple of pictures from this weekend. Carson got to spend some time with his cousin Olivia. He and Olivia sat with Pop Pop for a little while. Love how they both have their hands in their mouths...ha!

Carson also had a visit from MiMi and PawPaw this weekend. Here are some shots of Carson with PawPaw. He thinks he's hilarious - we think it's the moustache - ha!

Here's a shot of Carson's new, not so pleasant past time - ha!

Here's a shot of Carson from tonight. He rolled across his entire floor. He's so close to crawling - we know it's any day now!

Carson Laughing Videos

I have three videos to share of Carson laughing...here we go - enjoy!

I went to the kitchen to get something and when I came back I surprised him. He cracked up. So, I grabbed the camera to get some laughs....

Again, he loves to be surprised or startled - he thinks it's funny!

I wore my glasses all day today. I decided to touch my nose to Carson's nose and he thought it was hilarious. You don't hear me finish my sentence before I turn the camera off...what I was saying is "I would laugh too - I look so scary it's funny!" Ha!

Carson's First Veggies

Carson tried his first veggies this weekend....green beans! He loved them! He's such a good eater, we are so blessed. Here a few pictures of him in his high chair and him trying veggies for the first time. Ignore the stuff on the breakfast table behind me. I loaded up a bunch of stuff for Kelly and Olivia - toys, clothes, etc. That's the big mess on the table. Ha!

Little boy in a big high chair...

Hey - I'm not stupid - I know this thing means food!

Hmm...is that something green on that spoon? I'm not sure I want to open....
I'm opening my mouth, but I'm watching you Mommy!

Yep, I'm opening my mouth, but only a little...

See? I said only a little....

Okay, these are good - now I'll open all the way! YUM!

A Few Carson Tummy Time Pics

Carson just loves to play on his tummy now. He is always smiling and now, even better...he's laughing out loud! His laughter is the sweetest thing I have ever heard.

Ahhh...nap time. Do I look comfy or what?!

Teddy Update

Teddy's eye is slowly but surely healing. They removed the eyeball because they couldn't get it to stay in the socket, and because he lost sight in that eye from the injury. When Chad brought him home Sunday around 2am, I was devastated. It broke my heart looking at him. He looked so sad. He woke up several times throughout the night wimpering from the pain. Monday, he probably only got out of his bed once, but he surprised us when he ate like usual. Tuesday, he started walking around a bit more. Wednesday, he was outside starting to do a little more. Today, I came home and he was outside playing with a toy. He was shaking it all around and playing in the sun. He is running up and down the stairs, following me everywhere like usual, and he seems to feel much better.

Chad will be taking him to the vet tomorrow for a follow up visit. The stitches are supposed to come out next Wednesday. My poor Teddy. I'm going to attach a picture. If you're squeamish, I'm sorry. There's still a lot of swelling, however it was 5 times this size when he came home Sunday. It already looks a LOT better.

A Terrible Ending To Our Weekend

This afternoon was so beautiful. Chad was outside working in the yard. Kenzie and Teddy kept going in and out as usual. At one point, Chad said, "Let's go see what Don's done on his yard." I said, "Okay!" Kenzie and Teddy followed as usual. Kenzie went right in Don's backyard. Teddy was more hesitant. I had to coax him to go back there. About three minutes after we got there Sadie, their Great Dane, picked Teddy up by the head and shook him back and forth several times. Let me mention that they have never, ever had a problem before. She has always been so loving with both of them. She dropped him when Leah pounded on her back. He started yelping immediately. Chad picked him up and I noticed that his eye looked terrible. Chad and Don hopped in the car and took him to the Emergency Clinic immediately. They took him in right away because of the severity of the injury. They informed Chad that a specialist would need to come in to operate on his eye. We just got the call that they were not able to save his eye. Teddy will now only have one eye. I am devastated. Chad is going to pick him up around midnight, as they are still watching him to make sure he's okay after the surgery. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle seeing him with only one eye. It's going to break my heart. I've been sick all afternoon. I can only imagine how I'm going to feel when I see my poor little Teddy in person.

Please say some prayers that he recovers from all of this safely, with no infections. I'll post an update soon.

Me and Mommy Catching Some Rays

I went to church for the first time today. I was really good. Everyone told me I was really cute.

Mommy and I caught some rays together when we got home...

Fun In The Sun

Mommy and I played in the sun for a little while today. I got to wear my new sunglasses. I'm one cool dude! I'm also really getting the hang of sitting up. Check me out!

Me and Gavin

Gavin came over yesterday too. We had so much fun playing together. Gavin kept laughing, and I kept trying to grab his clothes.

Great Grandma Came To Visit

Great Grandma and MiMi came to visit me yesterday. Great Grandma brought me a really neat toy that claps its hands and jumps. It's really cool. I really enjoyed spending time with her and MiMi. I was all smiles. Here are some pictures of me and Great Grandma.

More Carson Pics...Rrrrreally?

Carson is getting so big. MiMi and PawPaw kept him last night so we could get some rest. When I went to see him this morning at school, I swear he looked bigger. He's growing like a weed. He's eating cereal twice a day now and loving every minute of it. He loves to smile, play on his tummy, roll around on the floor, look in the mirror, and scoot on his belly. He also loves splashing around in the bathtub. It seems like just yesterday we were waiting for his cord to fall off so we could give him a real bath. Man, time really does fly when you have a little one.

We're getting excited about Carson's baptism. It's May 18th at the church here by the house. Cherolyn and Troy will be his Godparents. I got the most beautiful invitations online. I am very happy with them. I'm hoping to get stamps tomorrow so I can mail them Friday.

Love to all!
