Dr. Wolens just left. Carson is doing better. The chest x-rays are not showing signs of pneumonia from what he can see. He thinks it is plugs of mucus that are clogging the airways in his lungs. Carson is still relying on oxygen, however it is the smallest amount possible. We have tried to take him off several times, but he's just not ready yet. He is off of fluids now and is doing well with feedings so far. We are hoping he continues on this path and we're on the road to recovery. Dr. Wolens believes we will be here another 2-5 days based upon his need for oxygen and deep suctioning. He is definitely getting better. We are grateful for everyone's thoughts and prayers. We'll keep you updated.
